Non Flushing Niacin To Treat High Cholesterol

Leseprobe

At this point I would like to set a small excerpt. It is taken from the second chapter, the legend on the history and tradition will be discussed in more detail:

. . . "There are in Egypt, Delta, headed by the Nile splits, a country district, called the Saite, the largest city of Sais is, from which the king also came Amasis. This city has a protective goddess in Egyptian tongue Neith, in Hellenic, as they say, Athena was told.

begins with these words the narrative of the Critias. During the last flowering of Egyptian culture, the Nile Delta had cultural and political center and the residence of Sais. The time period, during which Solon Egypt stayed, is now referred to as "Saitic period (664-525 BC). The land of the Nile could look back at these times to a thousand year old changing history. As it had known the Egyptians that the era of the Pharaohs is slowly coming to an end, just found this in Saite period, a return to traditional values, which sometimes drove quite bizarre flowers. The ritual of the dead service of the kings of the old empire was resumed, there were occasionally repaired even pyramids again. Officials adorned with offices titles of the Old Empire and the religious cult has been cleansed of foreign and new influences.

Champollion even wrote a plan of the building was still visible, including the temple. Today, nothing is to locate it. Probably suffered the fate of many monuments of Egyptian antiquities, and were used as a quarry.

Somewhere around much of this temple could be the conversation between Solon and the priests have taken place. During his conversation with the Egyptian priests Solon recognizes that the priests preserved ancient traditions, which could only dream of a learned Greek. To elicit the priests that knowledge begins tell it to, from the oldest traditions of the Greeks. The reaction follows immediately:

"As I said a high of aged priest: O Solon, Solon, you Hellenes will always children, brings to the old men but no Hellene - Why What do you mean he...!.? . when he heard this, asked the young souls who have those answers, are you all, for it entertains them in any old opinion, founded on ancient tales still a gray-haired by the time knowledge ".

The priest begins to speak of major disasters that have struck the earth again and again. Both were caused by fire and by water the peoples of the earth has been threatened repeatedly. In this way, the written records were also destroyed and so the Greeks would have no knowledge of these events. Only the Egyptians had been largely spared from flood and fire, so have kept their ancient scriptures. The astonished Solon told that was told in these documents even from an early Athens, which was located with a mysterious power in the war...

"for the recorded reports how a large army one day your state overwhelmed that of the Atlantic ocean to her spirited across Europe and Asia heranzog. At that time, namely, that sea was navigable, because taken together before the entrance, which says how you, the Pillars of Hercules is (today's Strait of Gibraltar), there was an island larger than Asia and Libya, from which the time travelers access to the other islands, but this to all the opposite, in that true seaside mainland was open. "

The priest says that this island of Atlantis sent a large army of assisting the countries around the to submit to the Mediterranean. The Atlantic empire was ruled by several kings who also "many islands" and ruled over parts of the mainland. Their influence extended in Europe to Tyrrhenia and Libya, now North Africa, to Egypt. Athens soon stood alone against a superior enemy, and was abandoned by the rest of the Greeks alone. At this critical moment the tide turned: Atlantis was beaten and free the conquered lands again.
Now follow the well-known lines from the report of the priest:

"But since occurred in later times violent earthquakes and floods, sank in that only a bad day and a bad night came on, your army as a whole and with suddenly under the earth, and in the same manner was also the island of Atlantis sink into the sea through the eyes removed. This is also the local sea has become impassable and undurchforschbar because of the located in shallow mud, leaving the sinking island, became a hindrance....

Rezension von Bernhard Beier

At this point I would like a review of Bernd Beier . indicates that I can publish here with his kind permission in advance Mr. Beier currently operates under construction page " www.atlantisforschung.de "

Rainer Krämer: Atlantis - The Riddle of Aristocles

review of. Bernhard Beier (Atlantisforschung.de)

fact that for those who want to deal in depth with the Atlantis research, there is very little literature in the appropriate initial matter, has several reasons. The key is the fact that both Atlantologen (those in the field of research active) and Atlantologie critic (which here are primarily those viewers meant to write as outsiders about it) are usually tried urgent matter to express their personal views on 'Atlantis' to the people, be they research results in the narrower and wider sense, or even prejudices or their dime. Quasi-neutral, based on the need for mediation of objective information and the presentation of basic connections, and also supported by expertise in this area publications are thus more 'scarce'.

Therefore, the reviewer is looking forward immensely to this point in April 2009, released in the best sense of popular science, Atlantis-book - and "alone" refers specifically only to the low number of pages! - To be imagined, this is recommended, in fact, especially all those who commit it, the largely 'unknown essence' to get to know you better Atlantis Research. The talk is of Rainer Kramer "Atlantis - The Riddle the Aristocles "which deals with the most interesting aspect of professional scientific management of the Atlantis problem by researchers that Plato's Atlantis legend considered not as a fictional text (et) s.

Specifically, R. Kramer is in his first work, the work of a number of archaeologists and classical scholars of the 20th century, which - quite different from the mainstream of their 'guilds' - not only actively involved with Atlantis research but mostly from practical 'in the' as described by Plato, the realm of prehistory and .'ve looked for the Metropolis Particularly, here in the order in which they appear in "Atlantis - The Riddle of Aristocles" will be addressed-or, Adolf Schulten (Kapitel: "Tartessos"), Wilhelm Brandenstein, Spyridon Marinatos (Kapitel: "Der Untergang der Minoer") [1], Eberhard Zangger (Kapitel: "Troja") und H. Görgemanns sowie Rainer W. Kühne [2] (Kapitel: "Ägypten und die Seevölker") zu nennen.

Somit werden es ihm auch Anhänger and operator of Atlantis deviant or international scholarly research, and committed supporters of certain localization hypotheses hardly blame that he "found Atlantis?" in the chapter non-conformist models of Atlantis localization one, also without any malice and polemics formulated, issued cancellation, and concludes, a "real place, one can bring the narrative of Critias in touch," was "not according to the current state of research in term. " (P. 107) to 'complain' to get it close by once again to express clearly to be found in his book that is probably something only those for which Atlantis research simply dealing with a "pseudo-scientific" Topic is, and not all come from the front to hold negative treatment for a "presumption" - what the author probably will charge as little as is the case with this reviewer.

Conclusion: Especially since "Atlantis - The Riddle of Aristocles" lively written, and thus also in literary terms (! Note, for example, the imaginative and humorous introduction chapter "A Little History") is worth reading thoroughly, it is the reviewer with a clear conscience, both ' Atlantis newcomers' as well as experts recommend, and the hope he can express this small but rich, work may find its deserved place in the standard literature on the Atlantis research.

[2] Dr. Rainer W. Kühne ist übrigens kein Fachwissenschaftler aus here the relevant area, but a physicist by profession.
